Land of the Lost

I was on a jungle adventure deep into the rainforest of kutabslu. I knew I was in a special place when I saw the serene ambiance of the area. It was a throw back in time. A land of the lost if you will.

It was a hazy day there, as I am sure most days are. I had come across this beautiful, peaceful lake and decided to have a reflective moment. As I sat there I noticed a small paddle boat nearby. Not wanting to waste the opportunity to go into this lost land, I picked up the oar and began my adventure!

In true pioneer spirit I paddled into the bowels of this crazy rainforest. All the while, I knew something was amiss. I just couldn't put my finger on it at the time.

The place was absolutely beautiful. I got lost in the scenery and just kept paddling. I didn't really know where this led, I just knew that I wanted to be a part of this natural wonder. Even if it was only for a day.

The mist that settled upon the mountains, gave it a magical appeal. It seemed like it was some type of a lost land, yet to be discovered by civilization. Exactly the type of place I seek, so further I invaded.

I finally ditched the boat when I came upon this staircase. There were no signs, so I didn't know where it led or why it was there. I just knew that it looked inviting and headed into the woods, exactly where I wanted to go.

I climbed the stairs and made it on to this elevated area that looked across two lakes. The elevated area from which I gazed had a lake to the left and a lake to the right.

I was mesmerized by the beauty of this area. I just stayed there and drank it all in. I knew I was in a special spot on this earth, and I didn't want to leave it. Not a person in sight. Only me and nature.

Or so I thought! Suddenly, I heard some laughing behind me. It startled me of course, there was nobody here, but me, who could possibly be laughing?

I turned my head suddenly, and I saw the object of my disdain. the supreme leader of Mars was there to greet me. She had broken her promise. She had promised to leave me alone as I told you the story on this post.:

I should have known better than to have trusted her. I think she existed only to make my life miserable. I wanted nothing to do with her so I turned to run.

And run I did. I ran as fast as I could, and as far as I could. But these old bones, and these old lungs cannot carry this out of shape body very far before I needed to rest again.

It was then I heard another human type voice. This time it was more of a chant than a voice. It startled me again. Who else is in this land of the lost that I don't know about? Who else was following me on my adventure?

I turned in the direction of the noise and that's when I saw her once again. Yes, that evil witch doctor, who turned me into a pig on that island, she was there to greet me, and I knew that she only had evil intent. So again I ran.

I ran from both of them back towards the lake from once I came. But I couldn't find the staircase. So I made my own path in the direction where I thought the water was. I needed to find my boat and get out of there as fast as I could.

But instead, I came across the ledge. Oh, no, I thought, I'm back on the island of Hedogenia again. Again facing the same exact dilemma, as I had back then in this post.:

Deja Vu? What do I do this this time? Do I face my adversaries or do I make the leap as I did on the island of Hedogenia?

To be continued next week....(or not).
